Dan lived his life in the home farm in Fawn and passed 100 years of age. He worked as an insurance agent and at his 100th birthday was cited as the person getting his pension for longer than anyone else in the organisation.
He is buried in the nearby Creevelea cemetery in the family plot with his wife Teresa parents John and Bridget brother John and sister Mary Bridget (Cissie)
He had four children John , Mary, Ann and Domhnall
